Skills Highway is a place where you can discover your journey and realise your dreams. You can find out all the different ways you can study, further your knowledge and learn more about different opportunities, courses, and qualifications to get you where you want to be.

Skills Highway has information about different areas of study and skill development, different levels of qualifications and information about what you need to get there. Start by setting up your current qualifications, age and what you are interested in and start exploring.

What is the Skills Highway?

The Skills Highway is a platform which has jointly development by post 16 education providers, to offer clear, visual maps for people wanting to retrain or develop skills in specific subjects and industries. The Skills Highway will not only link together a learning journey route, regardless of the starting point, but will also create a travel to learn map with information on travel times and costs. Provision will include community based and non-accredited courses as well as courses that can award qualifications from level 1 – Masters Degrees. In order for you to explore your exit from the Skills Highway and into employment opportunities we have also included links to organisations that can support your job search.

The Skills Highway as part of Lewisham Creative Futures has been funded by the UK Government through the UK Community Renewal Fund. The UK Community Renewal Fund is a UK Government programme for 2021/22. This aims to support people and communities most in need across the UK to pilot programmes and new approaches to prepare for the UK Shared Prosperity Fund. It invests in skills, community and place, local business, and supporting people in to employment. For more information, click here.
